Miles of Smiles...

The term Motomyth (often referred to as the hero's motorcycle journey) as used within the field of comparative mythology refers to a basic pattern supposedly found in many narratives from around the world. A hero rides forth from the world of common day into a region of supernatural wonder: fabulous forces are there encountered and a decisive victory is won... Although well-known in motorcycle culture, the motomyth has fallen out of favor in academia, which currently leans away from comparative mythology (comparativism) and toward particularism.
