By popular demand we are doing the same ride as last year: It is apple season, so, it’s off to the little town of Julian for apple pie for a nice day ride. We will stop by Mother’s Kitchen and then off to Julian for pie. Then loop around Temecula and back though Ortega, passed Lookout Café and Hell’s Kitchen. It going to be a long ride 360mi. so we will lift the kick stands a 7:00am so if you want coffee, come early.
Note: We will make a fuel stop to top-off at the 5 and 74 at the Chevron on the west side. We should be rolling in around 8:00am. This will be a great spot to meet us for the ride if you are starting south of us.

Happy New Year all! Sorry, no ride this month. I will be in Las Vegas learning better ways to run a Service Department. Don’t give up; we will have some good rides this year. February and March are still open. However, April will be the “I want to ride where it’s warm”. That’s right, to Palm Springs via Hwy 74 all the way. Keep looking there is more to come.

Some of you have heard, our Toy Run was shut down due to the Hospital getting too many recalled toys. It seems allot of folks thought it would be a good way to get rid of them. Anyway, hope all will have happy holidays ahead. Keep checking the site for upcoming rides and some new services for next year.

Due to my participation this year’s, Cycle World International Motorcycle Show in Long Beach. My busy schedule is not conducive to a ride this month. Check back for next month.
See you at the show, Jeff
October Ride Report: Well, this ride was literately a blow out. Four people showed up, with three ready to ride. Knowing the film crew was not coming do to the wind. We decided to make a run to good old Newcomb’s Ranch. Well that was aborted at the fork at Angeles Crest and the Forest Hwy. It was windy, the roads were dirty and the rocks were coming off the hills on our heads. We went down the Forest Hwy and then Tujunga into Sunland and looped around back to South Bay. Maybe we will have better luck next month. Let me know where you want to ride?

By popular reply we are going to Big Bear to hopefully see some fall colors and have some lunch. We will put the kickstands up at 8:00AM sharp. We will head up the east side and head into Big Bear Lake for some lunch. Then we will travel the San Bernardino range west to the end and head home back to the South Bay. Should be a good ride.
Note: Will make a fuel Stop at Chevron at 120 THE TERRACE
REDLANDS,CA Should be rolling in around 9:15AM
I want to see some fall colors. So I am think of a short ride to Wrightwood or a long ride to Big Bear. Let me know...
September Ride Report: We were a little worried about the road being closed going into Julian from a fire burning in the area. However, it was unwarranted. The road was open and after a stop at Mother’s Kitchen we rode to Julian for lunch and apple pie. The weather, roads and the 12 folks that came along were all great. Thank you all for coming along. Also thank you Mitch for being the event photographer. You can see the pictures on his site mitchophoto.com/gallery_mc.html

This month we will be riding up to Newcomb’s Ranch on the short loop route. The ride will be approximately 4 hours in total length with a fuel stop at the beginning of Angles crest Hwy, a stop at Newcomb’s Ranch and a post ride lunch at a stop to be determined. Kick stands go up sharply at 09:00, so if you want coffee come early. I do not ride that fast so the ride is open to all skill levels and bike types. However, you may not see any brake lights going into a corner (so beware if you are following my line) you have plenty of time to catch up in the straight (if you need too).
Enjoy the ride,
Jeff
Meet at Starbucks on Pacific Coast Hwy across from South Bay Triumph @ 2101 Pacific Coast HWY Lomita, CA 90717
All riders of all skill levels are welcome to come on the ride. Ride your own ride at your pace we will discuss meeting places along the way. When riding together, please use all Motorcycle Safety Foundation recommendations: Staggered on freeways, single file on the twistys, two-second rule and etc. If you do not know the protocol, ask. The seasoned expert riders of the group will help the novice riders of the group. Remember, it is all about making your dreams of motorcycling a reality.
